Welcome to the homepage of FineWineAppraisals.com. I am a  certified member of the Appraisers Association of America (certified in  wine), and have been appraising wine since 1997. I received a  Certificate in Appraisal Studies - Fine and Decorative Arts from New  York University in 1993. After apprenticing for several years in fine  art appraisals, I decided to specialize in wine appraisals, due to my  love of wine and extensive experience in collecting and conducting  classes in fine wine.

Wine appraisals, like any other type of collectible, are done for a variety of purposes:

• Insurance purposes: (insurance scheduling or damage and loss claims)
• Tax purposes (estate appraisals; charitable contributions)
• Acquisition or disposal purposes (buying or selling collections)
• Equitable distribution purposes (divorce)
• Liquidation purposes

All appraisals are done in compliance with the latest version of the  Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP) and the  Code of Ethics of the Appraisers Association of America.
